Acting British Deputy High Commissioner – Gill Atkinson said:

I am delighted to be surrounded with such talented, driven and empowering young women who are a part of the Educate a Girl Alumni. You are a testament of the hope Pakistan has for a brighter and more prosperous future. Pakistan is faced with numerous internal and external challenges and one of the ways these can be addressed is by nurturing and grooming its human talent. Initiatives like these can bring about that change.

The UK has a history of strong political, social and economic ties with Pakistan. Our two countries enjoy a relationship of mutual trust and understanding. The UK has always been keen to invest in the future of Pakistan, assist Pakistan as it moves down the roads of democracy and development, and help usher in an age of prosperity and progress.
